  • OUCHY...do not look

Broke my middle finger 4 weeks ago...still not better.I thought I had just jammed it. Like a basketball type injury. After 4 weeks in a brace and a ton of anti-inflamatories I am calling in a professional.Any body out there ever jammed their finger so bad it didn't heal. I am thinking it could be a torn tendon. The last digit can not be straightened once bent. I never realized how much you use that finger. Of course in my teen years it was my main form of communication. Try writing without its help...Or opening a water bottle.Anyway..I am off to see a hand specialist monday...any title with specialist after it could cost me an arm and a leg or at the very least a few fingers. Hope everyone is beginning a great weekend!

  • Two kinds of Christians.
which one can you indentify with....
“Sink Christians” view salvation like they would a sink. The water of salvation flows into the sink so that Christians can soak up all of  the benefits: eternal life, assurance in the present, strength in our times of trial. Those who adopt this mindset concentrate solely on what the Bible says God has done and will do for them.
"Faucet Christians” view salvation differently. They look at the world as the sink and themselves as the faucet. The blessings of salvation flow to them in order to flow through them out to the wider world. They rightly see that the Bible describes salvation as something that God not only does for them, but also through them.

  • THANK YOU ALL..

I want to thank each and everyone of my xangaland buddies and prayer warriors. After more than two weeks the doctors have come to the conclusion that my daughter has miscarried. God is sovereign.I rest in that peace. The healing we wanted would have put my third grandchild into his mothers loving arms. We did receive a healing, God made him perfect and took him home. He is in Jesus arms and being loved and spoiled in a perfect body. Please continue to lift my daughter and her husband as they work thru their loss, pray God comforts them and encourages them. Pray His mighty presence is felt. Please lift Tanya that she heals emotionally and physically.

  • calling for pray

Tonight, I will be praying for a miracle...prayer warriors out there ,please lift my unborn grandchild and my daughter Tanya. The doctor says she may miscarry the baby this weekend. Pray peace and health for Tanya and the baby. Pray if it is Gods will the baby survives that it thrives and grows healthier daily. If it is His will to take him home, pray for Tanya & Carlos that they may feel peace in the knowledge that our God is sovereign and loves them very much. I pray they feel His comforting presence.

  • My thoughts ...

I am proud to say my grandchildren will grow up in a country where race is no longer a barrier to becoming the president. That in itself made me proud while watching the inauguration yesterday. I am proud to be an American and I will support and pray daily for our new president. Though we disagree on many issues.

My excitement faded as I watched and listened to the chants"o..bam..a " I watched 1.8 Million cheer in support. I could not help but think..how many will be marching in the pro-life march two days later? will it get even a minute of news coverage? I don't have enough time to even go there.

I can barely get through any news coverage these days...they are annoying and blatantly subjective.

Did the speeches seem smug or self righteous? I hate to be a party pooper...but come on. Did anyone else feel the least bit uncomfortable. We have americans who do not receive health care, that are hungry and homeless. How can we spend this kind of money to celebrate an inauguration..no matter how historic. We are in a serious economic crisis.

My 14 year old was forced to watch the inauguration at school. She says "forced."..I think it was good to a point. She came home very frustrated and asked me...When did we become a nation of people who put all of our hope in one elected official and not in our one God? We talked back and forth a bit.

The next topic was abortion...she became almost inconsolable.

As adults why aren't our passion directed to such things?

To see her eyes opened saddened me but also gave me hope.

    why are we still silent?

Abbey and Cody run around the house all day. It is too cold out to hit the park for very long. In the single digits wednesday...BRRrrrrr.

They make the best of it and play all day. I am so glad I have two dogs to keep each other company.

They are wrestling over the same toy. We must have at least a dozen other toys .

They saw the flash and posed. How cute are my dogs.
