Here he is..after a tough plane trip. It took over 2.5 hours to get him at the airport.I was alone and very irritated. First they lost him, then they found him.I was sent to a strange building away from the airport to pick him up. This was after I waited almost 2 hours at the northwest luggage office. I was a bit perturbed! But finally I met him, he is very sweet. He was so excited to get out of his crate. He just gave me tons of kisses. Britt was surprised and after a rough start the night went well. here are a few pictures from last night...our new addition. What does he look like..Britt thinks he is a cody.

This house is adorned...for a lack of a better word...with bowling balls. As we left the park we noticed this yard and had to snap a few pictures. It is "adorned" with several dozen full size bowling balls. We laughed all the way home. 70'S here today...so I am off to go outside and play.

  • Sunset on Lake Ontario...

    DSC05173(1)

When it hits 40 degrees in the northeast...you go outside. To most people 40 would still be cold;it was chilly. But at 40 the ants come out of the woodwork. You see people out walking that you haven't seen in about 4 months. Winter hibernation is ending...and to think you thought mainly bears hibernated. ;0) We walked the Lake tonight and snapped a few shots. Abbey loves trips to the park.My daughter however gets that typical teenager glossy eyed look..you know the one; she seems to ask without saying. a word....WHY?? The same teen will look back years from now and tell her children how wonderful it was to have parents that went on walks in the park with her. Here she is "enjoying" our walk.

look at the difference between the water after the breaker wall and before it...the waves were crashing into the rocks tonight...We have two walls which lead into a stream. Many salmon are caught in this stream.

Look Britt and Abbey liked watching the sunset!

Yes, she is wearing flip-flpos and a coat. You can take the girl out of the south...but not the south out of the girl

    Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow BridgeJust this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......."

  • Food For Thought...

    http://www.christianimagination.org/Site/Session_1_Movie.html

If you have time go check out his video. This is the Reverend Father Robert Dalgleish from the church.we attend. He is talking about the sanctified imagination. I am curious to hear what others think about this topic. Do we limit our imagination because of our world. We have been told for years to color inside the lines. The media seems to control alot of our waking thoughts. What part does your imagination play in your relationship with god. Does it play a part in your worship experience;your Bible time, your quiet time?Does the mear word imagination scare you, I admit I first thought about guided imagery and hypnosis. I no longer feel this way, this was but a passing thought. As I dug deeper it revealed much.

  • Packing up the dreams of God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

    And friends are friends forever
If the Lord is the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "Never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

    And friends are friends forever
If the Lord is the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "Never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends

    And friends are friends forever
If the Lord is the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "Never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
