    FLAG 1

    HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

What to do today? I am trying to plan out my day. I do not want to drive into the city for fireworks tonight. Too much crime and traffic. I think we will  take a day trip. We may head down towards the finger lakes.Small town craft fair and celebrations are more my cup of tea. Perhaps a picnic and a splash in one of the lakes. Seems the older I get the more I want to just veg out, grill a few hamburgers and watch  a good afternoon movie curled up with a blanket on my couch.I have to remind myself to go out and do something my youngest, who is a teen would enjoy.Watching your mother take an afternoon nap does not seem to be one of her favorite things to do...darn! O.k. then I guess I will dust off the cooler and the nikes and head out for a fun filled day of parades ,craft boothes and hopefully some wonderful ice wine.

  • Do I love saturdays?

I love saturdays. It may go back to no school and wearing pjs all morning while watching my favorite cartoons.Cooked breakfast..is a plus. The weekdays are always so cram packed full of stuff

But not saturdays???? My hubby has a weekday job usually home by 4:00 and off every weekend.

Therefore;we are blessed to have wonderful saturdays.

Today's plans...Big breakfast. You know the breakfast with everything bad for you on the menu.YUMMO as Rachel Ray would say. I will use 4 or 5 pans and cook up a storm , then clean up a disaster.. Which means guilt salad for lunch. I think I will meander around my yard. Great day to plant more flowers and weed my garden I should add some new mulch today too.Might even jump on the trampoline. I think a bike ride will work it's way in and maybe a visit to the park. Of course Britt ;being a teen will insist on the weekend trip to a store...probably the mall.I will have to bathe both dogs today. They get stinky when we have a rain filled week.I will have to hit the grocery store and fill up my truck...can you spell Cha-Ching? Since the school/work week is so busy we should wash the trucks today.Later around 6:30 we will drive across town to a friends for dinner. This is wonderful..no cooking tonight.

If saturdays are so wonderful...why am I so tired on sunday? Playtime and fun stuff can wear you out when your ...ummmm..over 30?

  • iF Aurelina can do it..so can Nana

DSC06245(1)That is it..I too must finally after all these years give up my boo....my pacifier, my binkie. I have been inspired by my grandbaby. She is stronger and more courageous than I am...but I am willing to give it a shot. So I am off the ma ba! Withdrawal will come and go..I must be strong

DSC06251(1) the temptation is almost to much to bear.....

DSC06249(1) We can do it lee-lee....step away from the boo!

.... and yes, I would do just about anything to make my daughter laugh!

  • why are some just mean....?

Seriously???. What is there to gain from being mean. Does it make mr. or miss meany feel better about themselves. Are they getting some kind of high from the adrenaline rush that mean people seem to love inhaling at every opportunity.I wonder what makes a mean person tick Inside...how can they live day in and day out in the same state. They thrive on lives filled with the ability to be mean. I know I am rambling, but I am bewildered.I am thinking about mean people...and I want to vomit.

just had to get that off my chest.

  • my dogs....future pups on the horizon

I treat my dogs like kids. Here are the latest pictures of my dogs. Abbey and Cody will have beautiful puppies one day soon.Abbey has a look on her face...like leave me alone. Cody is hugging her...they have such different personalities. One is shy and the other outgoing. The vet has given us the go ahead to breed them. Cody had undescended testicles and we feared he would need surgery.

    But he will be fine.

... we may have puppies around Christmas time!

Shelties generally are three colors. Tri, blue merle or sable.

Abbey is a bi-black with a blue merle gene. Cody is sable with a tri -and a sable/blue merle mother. The puppies will most likely be tri's . The picture below is a blue merle,  sable and a tri. The far right is what abbey and codys pups should look like.

    Are they beautiful or what?

  • Thursday's Thoughts...

I miss my Nana ...this seems to be my most constant thought...When someone you adore leaves this earth and goes to heaven it leaves a void. I stopped filling the void and just cried yesterday. Which is needed and I will do often over the next year.I picked myself up and did what I needed to do today. Which is tough when your heart aches. It has been almost  a month since I watched Nana leave for heaven...hard to believe. I remember fearing this time...I am amazed how God has carried me thru thus far. I have wonderful caring friends who have lifted me up in prayer and called often.Without such relationships..this would of been impossible. Without the life lessons she shared with me..I would have been lost.

Today I am tearful and thankful .

My Thursday thoughts are now going to change to Laughter...So I will share some unanswered question ...laugh a little as you ponder these questions-
