The Wii was a definite crowd pleaser. We are not into video games.

This one is different, the bowling was a blast and as you can see all had fun!

  • danger...children on the loose at tree farms everywhere

Our children have always been pretty laid back and well behaved, This sign just made us laugh.

Next Britt posed in front of it, then we busted out in laughter.I love a teen with a sense of humor.

Today my daughter actually spit her gum out the window. Instead of lecturing her..I felt compelled to mess with her...just a little. I told her it landed on the car behind us and on their windshield at that.My other children who are grown and have survived my little jokes are now laughing hysterically. Because I am very good at keeping a straight face. She thought they were following us and she was making up excuses and ways to apologize when they caught up. When they finally went to pass us, she ducked.I do not believe she will be tossing anything out the window for some time if ever again.. We had a good laugh when she realized I had led  her gullible self down this silly path. Lesson learned laughter enjoyed ...

  • No virginia there is no perfect tree...

With much excitement and anticipation we went off to hunt down the perfect Christmas tree. We walked and walked and walked some more. Where could it be...perhaps just past the next row of trees. Wait they are all starting to look the same. After a little deJaVue  experience...I realized ...I have done this before. We will not find the perfect tree;it does not exist. The more you look the worse they look. The colder you get the better they look. But perfect...none to be found that fit that bill.I did not find the perfect tree today.

I found something better. I found joy. Joy has been missing thus far this season. Mostly because I haven't looked for it. Today I chose to be joy-filled. I was very cold..but also very joyful.

  • Spiritual Gifts

I have found myself thinking alot about spiritual gifts.

I have been in churches that believed many of these gifts are a thing of the past and ones that believe they are moving in them now.

I was just curious what others out in my xanga community believed and why you believe the way you do.

  • My Shelties...

My abbey is in "season" Cody wants to be a daddy doggy. He follows her around all day. I have tried to keep them apart but it is impossible. We put a yard pen in our family room. This pen is over 4 feet high. We left for church with only our female sheltie abbey in the pen. Yep, you guessed it, we came home to see cody wagging his tail with excitement from inside the pen .He had jumped it.so, we may have puppies sooner than we planned.

They will be beautiful and wonderful companions for a select few lucky families.
