  • Summer camp and butt biting....

    My Britt is off to a summer camp. It is a stifling 79 here today...stop laughing tanya1968. For new yorkers thats hot.Today I decided to buy her some type of sports drink. I was worried she may get dehydrated ...again I hear my southern friends laughing. The laughter sounds identical to one that has leapt from my mouth when my floridian mom tells me she is cold when it hits 50 degrees.Anyway, back to the sportsdrinks. What a bussiness..I want a share $3.99 for only 4 small bottles of sugar water with some electrolytes(tons of sodium) thrown in for good measure. A multimillion dollar business. I looked up the benefits of these "re-energizing;revitalizing,refreshing"drinks. The sound of money going down the drain motivated my research.Seems I just wasted 3.99. Water will hydrate just as well unless you are a seriuos athlete. The commercials target everyone, but from my research water will do just fine.Next time it's from the tap...if she complains I'll toss in a little salt,sugar and food coloring and call it a redneck sports drink.


    Now onto the butt biting...no ,my daughter is not biting anything or anyone at summer camp. It is my much loved shelties. Cody and Abbey have suddenly started nibbling on the bottoms of my family and guest .I should elaborate a little. They jump up in the air with excitement and quickly and gently grab a little nibble,while fo

  • That is bring teratroial...I know I spelled it wrong lol...they are protectecting  you and the house...gently hold their heads when they do this and FIRMLY SO NO.NO...NO..to them.After a while it will stop...beleave me...Trooper did this once in four years and it worked for him...it took a good week but it worked...tell them BAD DOG too.

    Yeah water is the best.

  • A stifling 79?  Bwahahahaha!!!   Thanks for starting my day off with a good laugh, Diane. LOL  You too silly.   I'd give anything for 79 degree weather.  It's been in the 90's here for weeks... and very, very humid and muggy.  Ugh.  Wanna trade?

    LOL at the thought of homemade "redneck" sports drink.  Too funny.
