  • Random ramblings for tuesday...

We have been here over a year ,I am ready to move.A part of me wants to stay put, but I also have a desire to move. I guess it's because I have moved so much during my life that I think its the norm.My dad was in the military so we moved alot. My first husband too. Russ has had many job changes over the past couple of years. So there you have it, it's in my blood. No place has felt like home since we lived in south carolina.Michigan started to, then we moved.

62 monday...snow and ice storm tonight.Of course I washed my car yesterday.

My daughter is in a play at school. The play is mandatory since her exploratory is drama. She has to stay after school 3 days this week. 5 hours on thursday...and complete homework. That will be a fun night. I also have to pay to go watch her performance. I pay for the school, the costumes, the snacks for the cast party .Why should I pay as much as a movie ticket to go watch. We pay so much for her to go to this private school and every chance they get they want more.I have decided I do not want to help with any fund raisers, which is counter productive. If they don't raise money they raise tuition. If our schools were half way decent I could send her to public. So after all the expenses of the play we received a letter asking for money to thank the teachers. Sorry but NO!

Trading spaces is back and so is paige davis. I have watched it every week since it's return. It is even better than before.

I have to prepare my testimonial for a womans meeting next month. That should keep me busy.

Springtime is around the corner...I can almost see it. Maybe when it arrives I won't want to move so badly.

  • Public schools aren't much better around here. They have cut funds for everything! There is alot of money going out of my pocket!! Everytime my kids sign up for a so called extra curricular activity I just open my wallet. Plus there are still the fund raisers and paying to see plays and games.

RYC: What's it like in the tundra today? Still in the 50's here, but very dreary. I don't expect the sun to make an appearance anytime soon.

    Hugs

  • I would be pretty peeved about the constant requests/requirements for money.  Some is understandable: tuition, special project/extracurriculars.  But to have to pay for her to be in the play, then pay to see the play, and then kick in for gifts for the teachers?  Uh, I don't think so!  Sheesh.

RYC: You know, as many manicures and pedicures as I've had... I've never had a facial.  I bet it's fabulous.  Might have to treat myself sometime soon. :)

  • @Tanya1968 - facials are wonderful..go for it!

  • @lifeliveit - rofl..the tundra has thawed until tonight.Big ice strom coming thru...is it headed your way wednesday? maybe going to new england .

  • I can understand....Matt is also in a private school and it's always something that requires shelling out more $$$$
